Guy J - Group Therapy 004 guest mix

On this week’s Group Therapy we will be joined by one of the world’s most sought after producers, Guy J.

Seamlessly blending a techno-inspired groove with a rich melodic lead, Guy’s releases have frequently found their way into the sets of industry legends Pete Tong and Sasha. He came to the attention of many in 2007 with the upbeat "Save Me", which was quickly followed by his critically acclaimed debut artist album "Esperanza", on John Digweed’s Bedrock imprint.

However, it was a Prydz rework of Guy’s collaboration with Henry Saiz, entitled "Meridian", that cemented his place at the forefront of cutting-edge melodic house. Remixes for Way Out West and and 16 Bit Lolitas have demonstrated his unique flair for ambient, evolving soundscapes, with single releases on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, and the iconic techno label Cocoon.

In March of this year he became a member of the wider Anjuna family, remixing P8 & Answer 42’s “Fragments”; a favourite from "Anjunadeep 04". Then July saw the launch of his own Lost & Found label under the Bedrock umbrella, dedicated to quality progressive tracks.

A unique figure in the often muddied world of melodic house, we are excited to see what Guy has to offer on this week’s show.
