Anjunabeats takeover The Gallery @ Ministry of Sound, London this Friday!

For our first show of 2014, Anjunabeats return to The Gallery with four of our best loved artists - Finnish stars Super8 & Tab, Australian innovator Jaytech, Norway’s mercurial talent Boom Jinx and rising star ilan Bluestone.

Responsible for timeless label classics such as "Helsinki Scorchin’" and "Black Is The New Yellow", Miika Eloranta and Janne Mansnerus aka Super8 & Tab continue to push their sound forward into brave new musical territories. Having delivered hits like "L.A." and "The Way You Want" in 2013, the dynamic duo have been busy in the studio with a host of exciting material ready to be unleashed. With their forthcoming Julie Thompson collaboration "No Frontiers" debuted by Above & Beyond in their legendary ABGT050 set, Super8 & Tab will this time be broadcasting their set live as part of their own 50th podcast celebrations.

Having moved from the deep waters of Anjunadeep to the big room of Anjunabeats, Berlin-living Australian Jaytech has been applying his innovative melodic touch to dancefloors across the globe ever since - with consistently impressive results. With two acclaimed artist albums under his belt in 2008’s "Everything Is OK" and 2012’s "Multiverse", Jaytech remains one of our label’s most prolific innovators with some exciting projects in the pipeline for 2014.

An integral part of the Anjuna family for the best part of a decade, Boom Jinx’s sound has continually evolved with last year’s "When You Loved Me" (with Maor Levi and Ashley Tomberlin) going down as one of last year’s best loved records. His much awaited debut album "No Answers In Luck" - due for release later this year - is set to capture his diverse genius in full focus.

Finishing a superb line-up, is London based producer ilan Bluestone. Joining Anjunabeats in 2011 with his Maor Levi collaboration "On Our Own", his recent single "Spheres" hit the Beatport Trance #1 spot on it’s first day of release.

"Anjunabeats Volume 10" party at The Gallery, Ministry of Sound on Friday 29 March

On Friday 29 March, we return to The Gallery, Ministry of Sound for the first Anjunabeats appearance of 2013 with Super8 & Tab and Norin & Rad - both playing special three hour sets in celebration of the release of "Anjunabeats Volume 10". For tickets head HERE.

Finnish favourites Super8 & Tab should need little introduction. Since their timeless breakthrough tracks "First Aid" and "Helsinki Scorchin", Miika Eloranta (Super8) and Janne Mansnerus (Tab) have consistently provided some of the most memorable moments in the Anjunabeats discography. From classics like "Elektra" and "Suru" to their album cuts like "Empire" (feat. Jan Burton) and "Black Is The New Yellow", Super8 & Tab continue their legacy with their "Anjunabeats Volume 10" contribution "L.A." - another melodic masterpiece.

Joining them for their UK debut are the celebrated Californians Bruce Karlsson and Nick Sember aka Norin & Rad. Above & Beyond’s favourite producers over the past 18 months, Norin & Rad have rapidly risen to become essential Anjunabeats artists. From their breakthrough smash "Bloom" and their anthemic rework of the classic "Air For Life" by Above & Beyond vs. Andy Moor through to their most recent hit "Aldo", Norin & Rad have cemented their position as one of the most exciting talents around and we are excited to bring them to The Gallery for a special three hour debut set.

In the 103, Anjunadeep will play host with Jody Wisternoff and Dave Seaman. See you there!

Jaytech Interview ahead of his “Multiverse” show at The Gallery, Ministry Of Sound, London 9 November

As part of a special "Multiverse" album launch, Jaytech will be playing the Box at Ministry Of Sound for our Anjunabeats takeover on 9 November. In preparation for the night, we caught up with Jimbo for an exclusive Q&A below. CLICK HERE for limited remaining discount tickets…

Your previous visit in May was for the Anjunadeep 103 takeover. Best recollection?

"Busting out some old school Jaytech classics to the always appreciative London crowd! Oh, and walking straight into the bathroom wall after my set."

This Friday welcomes your “Multiverse” release party. Tell us the concept behind the album?

"It’s got a large variety of different elements and styles, with an overall focus on bigger room vibes. Hence the multicolour epic album artwork!"

So a sound best suited to Ministry’s main room, on this occasion then?

"Absolutely - will be playing large!"

What software and tools did you use to produce?

"Ableton and Logic, Omnisphere is great too. I’m playing around with FL Studio which seems cool - but is still doing my head in."

Did the “Multiverse” collection of tracks go down well on your Australian tour earlier this year?

"It was great - everyone was singing along to the words of the main singles. The clubbier stuff also went down really well on the dance floor."

"We assume your home fans made this series of gigs extra special?"

"Yeah, especially in places like Melbourne and Canberra where there are so many of the people I’ve grown up with or partied with before."

What’s coming up next on Anjunabeats?

"Two new singles in the works, one with vocals and one clubbier one. Also club mixes of the "Multiverse" album tracks."

The Gallery is a musical “Multiverse”, because…?

"… Jaytech is playing there on 9th!"

Finally in Gallery tradition, three words to describe your forthcoming set?

"Hyphens are okay right? Post-multi retro-trouse progstravaganza."

"Anjunabeats Volume 9" Launch party at The Gallery, Ministry of Sound this Friday 18th November

Anjunabeats at The Gallery always has a uniquely impassioned atmosphere – having already sold out two gigs this year. After February’s Anjunadeep 03 launch and the mayhem of Above & Beyond’s April show, we celebrate the release of Above & Beyond’s “Anjunabeats Volume 9” – the latest edition of their annual flagship label compilation.

Having recently celebrated fifteen memorable years, Kyau & Albert have a relationship with Above & Beyond and Anjunabeats that goes back deep into history. With their seminal classics like "Are You Fine?" released on Anjunabeats, the German duo have remained long time friends of the label – collaborating with Above & Beyond on last year’s “Anphonic”, remixing their recent single "You Got To Go" (feat. Zoe Johnston) and joining them at this year’s Anjunabeats In Miami party at the colossal Ice Palace.

Polish producer Nitrous Oxide is another familiar face to both Anjunabeats and The Gallery. His tougher take on euphoric trance was the highlight of The Gallery’s “10 Years Of Anjunabeats” shindig. With a critically acclaimed debut album (“Dreamcatcher”) under his belt, his latest single "iPeople" offers a new synth-heavy direction and will feature on the "Anjunabeats Volume 9" album.

Oliver Smith is another name that has been adored by both Anjunabeats and trance fans for many years. With three mind blowing tracks featuring on "Anjunabeats Volume 9", "Symmetry" is a favourite at Gallery HQ, indicative of that hypnotising sound to rock The Gallery once more

On warm up duties, an eagerly anticipated debut of Maor Levi. The Israeli protégé has become an integral part of the Anjunabeats label family, ever since his iconic debut release “Lital” in 2005. One of Above & Beyond’s favourite producers of 2011, Maor Levi’s innovative collaboration with Bluestone – “On Our Own” – is another highlight to be enjoyed on the “Anjunabeats Volume 9”.

Completing the full takeover, Anjunadeep host the 103. A showcase of the label’s deep, progressive and melodic house sound, the line-up will include a special set from Dusky (also known as Solarity) as part of the launch for their album “Stick By” – hailed by DJ Mag as “an intoxicating album, full of life and flashes of brilliance”. Label boss James Grant will be join them.
